I love vintage, so, for me, the idea of decorating a kid's bedroom in a hotchpotch of pretty floral bedding, distressed furniture and jumbled bits and pieces is sheer heaven. What makes the vintage look even more appealing is that it doesn't have to be a difficult or expensive one to pull off. Furniture that has seen better days can be revamped with paint or even wallpaper, while vintage pictures, cushions and mirrors can be sprinkled around for the cutest mishmash. Introduce a Scandi vibe
The stripped-back, unfussy lines of Scandinavian styling are perfect for a vintage bedroom. Revamp an old chest and chair simply and cheaply with a fresh lick of paint (duck-egg blue, dove grey and sticking-plaster pink are good colours) and replace knobs with pretty glass versions.

Hang sweet accessories
Whitewashed floorboards and plain white walls make a great backdrop for vintage pieces. Introduce smudges of pretty pastel with cute artworks, baskets and bunting, and hang up dressing-up costumes for a personal touch.
